IN OFFICE PROTOCOL: The following are the extra precautions Albany Dermatology is taking to protect patients and colleagues in our office to safely provide needed care:

  • We follow prevention guidelines established by the CDC and NYS Department of Health that include social distancing, regular hand washing, and covering your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.  Our employees wear personal protective equipment everyone entering our office is required to wear a face covering.  In addition, we are taking necessary steps to disinfect high contact areas and treatment spaces throughout our office.

  • Patients are asked to check in via cell phone upon arrival in the parking lot and wait in their car. We will notify the patient at that cell number when your provider is available. If you arrive with a companion, we ask that the companion wait in the car unless they are needed to assist you.

  • Patients are screened upon arrival by taking temperatures, confirming any recent travel, noting presence of flu-like symptoms (cough, fever, sore throat and/or shortness of breath) and contact with possible COVID-19 individuals. Appointments for patients deemed to be at risk are rescheduled.  We also require mandatory screenings of all personnel entering our office.

  • We ask that patients who have traveled outside the country or to any state where COVID-19 circulates widely in the community wait two weeks before scheduling an in office appointment.

  • Our estheticians will wear masks, face shields and gloves for protection and patients will wear a mask while on the premises, which can be removed only if necessary, to provide the esthetic/cosmetic treatment.
