Our
nurses, Dawn, Karen, and Kathy, collectively
bring more than 90 years of experience to
our office and provide superior care to
patients in our practice.
Dawn, an RN, is a graduate from Maria
College in Albany, NY, has worked with
Albany Dermatology for over 18 years.
Formerly employed at St. Peter’s Hospital,
Dawn has experience in surgery, medicine,
gynecology, and rehabilitation nursing.
Karen, an RN, is a graduate from Hudson
Valley Community College nursing program in
Troy, NY. Following a 20-year career at
Albany Memorial Hospital, Karen joined
Albany Dermatology in 1994and 8 years part
time with us she became full time at Albany
Dermatology in 2004.
Kathy, an LPN, since 1980, worked at St.
Peter’s Hospital for more than 10 years,
before leaving to teach at a children’s
daycare. Kathy joined us full time in 2002.
Together, they provide nursing support for
patients with severe medical conditions,
assist with cosmetic procedures and help
manage the care plans for patients with
severe psoriasis who take systemic
medications. They also monitor the IPledge
program for those using Accutane for severe
acne, and coordinate the skin cancer
surveillance program for the patient and
photographer. All three are active members
of the Dermatology Nurses Association (DNA)and
participate in local and national
educational meetings and conferences. Kathy
also serves as an officer for the local DNA
chapter. |
